You may see coaches wearing Italian flags on the Eagles’ sideline. The shared background plays a real part in bringing the team, and its community, together.

The Eagles have landed. The Philadelphia Eagles’ charter flight touched down in New Orleans on Sunday afternoon, a week before their Feb. 9 Super Bowl matchup against the Kansas City, who were slated to land about 90 minutes later.

It also featured a visit from a green-and-white food truck from Dietz & Watson, the Philadelphia deli meat firm. The truck served free Bird Dogs — hot dogs topped with roasted long hots, provolone and fried onions on an Eagles-green bun.
