Alabama was ranked No. 11 in the national polls, but picked to finish 10th in the SEC this season, showing just how tough the conference is. The coaches predicted newcomer Texas to win the league with Florida, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas A&M rounding out the top five.

The Florida softball team is poised to make a significant impact in the 2025 season, starting off ranked No. 3 in the NFCA/GoRout Division I Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll. The Gators, who have consistently proven their talent on the diamond,

Oregon will open the 2025 season in the top 25 of both major softball polls. The Ducks are No. 23 with 125 points in the preseason NFCA poll, same as their ranking in the USA Softball preseason poll. Oregon went 30-21 overall and 13-10 in Pac-12 play in 2024, losing to eventual national champion Oklahoma in the Norman Regional final.
